About SCOR-P Certification
The Supply-Chain Council is now offering its’ first-ever certification program to help members demonstrate their skills in using the SCOR reference model in supply chain improvement initiatives. The SCOR Professional (SCOR-P) Certification program creates a consistent global standard for excellence in using SCOR.
Why should I become SCOR-Certified? SCOR Certification demonstrates a person’s knowledge and capability as tested by an independent, third-party organization. Like other credentials, a person who has achieved a SCOR Certification conveys to global organizations that he or she possesses a valuable set of supply-chain skills. Why should I encourage my employees to become SCOR-Certified? Creating an in-house pool of SCOR-Certified Professionals can help a company dramatically raise its proficiency at supply chain improvement. All supply chain professionals who have earned the certification will possess common concepts, processes, terminology, and metrics, all of which are critical to standardizing supply chain processes across a large, global organization. Like the SCOR model itself, SCOR Certification is based on real-world techniques for measuring and managing a global supply chain, not on concepts and abstractions. SCOR-Certified professionals can be deployed throughout the organization to tackle strategic supply chain issues. Certification also provides a practical method for assessing the skills and competencies of your personnel and recruits, and a method for evaluating the effectiveness of training. Encouraging employees to achieve certification demonstrates your investment in their educational development, aiding recruitment and retention. For more information:
